Meet Karen and Bill Burrington, who full-time about 6 months out of the year in their M41RLIK4S Majestic. Their answers and insights will give you an authentic look into the lifestyle and reliability that New Horizons offers…
How would you say the framework of your unit — the chassis, walls and roofing — have held up to the wear and tear of full-time RV travel?
The framework, chassis, walls and roofing are all just as good as new. We don’t technically use it full-time. We are full-time for half the year.
How much time has your unit spent in the service center?
It has had almost no time in service. I do most of my own preventive maintenance, mainly just lubrication and roof caulking.
What components of the coach still give you the same luxury, quality and function that they have since Day 1 of owning the unit?
The entire coach! Everything still works like new. The coach still looks like new with the exception of the New Horizons front cap sticker, which has deteriorated from the sun. Of course, there are lots of rock chips and scratches, but from a short distance, it still looks like new!
What do you feel is the main difference between a brand-new New Horizons RV and your coach?
Mainly, the technology has evolved since ours was built. The quality is still the same.
What do you feel is the #1 difference in why your New Horizons RV has lasted all these years?
The solid heavy frame reduces flexing. The quality full paint lasts much longer than stickers.
